The beginning
Contact Electrical was founded
Started in 1988 with just five team members, focusing on domestic, new housing, and small commercial projects. - 1992
Expanding our work
Large commercial and industrial projects
Began completing large commercial and industrial installations alongside domestic work, laying the foundation for future growth. - 1995
Growing the team
Workforce expanded
Our team grew to around 35 members, supporting both domestic and commercial divisions before the domestic side was sold. - 2001
A new chapter
Became Contact Electrical (Norwich) Ltd
Registered as a limited company, marking a key step in our evolution and strengthening our market position. - 2003
Leadership growth
David joined the office team
After years as an installation engineer, David transitioned to Contracts Supervisor, helping expand operations and capabilities. - 2005
Strengthening leadership
David promoted to Contracts Director
David took on the role of Contracts Director, continuing to develop the company's commercial portfolio and reputation. - 2005
Leadership milestone
Sue became Financial Director
After starting part-time in 1988 doing the books, Sue transitioned to full-time and officially became the Financial Director in 2005. - 2015

New beginnings
Ash joined the team
Ash joined as an estimator/contracts manager, with a mission to grow the domestic division and support commercial contracts. - 2021
Reviving domestic
Domestic division revived
Ash's arrival reignited the domestic side of the business, restarting growth and diversifying the company's offerings. - 2024

Ash and Leon became directors and shareholders
Following Mark’s retirement, Ash and Leon stepped into leadership roles to help drive the company’s future success and stability. - Today
